ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Distribution Supervisor will support the Production Manager by facilitating the Despatch and Inward Goods functions, whilst always ensuring a safe and timely warehouse environment. Responsible for all material distribution ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products and services to both internal and external customers.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:
 
  • Maintain the daily co-ordination of the distribution function
  • Ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods
  • Manage stock levels, including the quick identification and replenishment of stock (eg, Kanban)
  • Achieve daily despatch targets
  • Assist the Production Manager in the recruitment, development and coaching of the distribution teams
  • Role model a positive, flexible and engaged team
  • Create a best-in-class standard throughout all operations
  • Adhere to excellence with our safety standards and models
  • Undertake constant measures to ensure ‘best practice’ and a safe environment
  • Monitor and report on all Health and Safety measures and manage audit requirements

We are looking for someone who has:
 
  • Inwards Goods and Despatch experience
  • People management experience
  • A good understanding and experience of continuous improvement principles
  • A good understanding of ‘Health and Safety’
  • Problem solving, organising and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • IT skills – Word and Email
  • Customer relationship skills – both internal and external
  • Good communications skills – verbal and written
